Six leaders were given a long term

Six leaders were given a long term

Six leaders of National League for Democracy party who were arrested
in September and October 2007 were given a long term imprisonment by
Mandalay Divisional Court in this afternoon at Mandalay, a second
capital of Burma. Many of them were charged under 505/b and 153/a and
one was charged with 505/b only.

Those who were given imprisonment are:
(1) Win Mya Mya ( F) who is a organizing committee member of NLD
Mandalay Division was given 12 years imprisonment.
(2) Kan Tun, (M) Who is a secretary of the NLD Mandalay Division
was 12 years imprisonment.
(3) Than Lwin,(M) Who is a vice-chair person of the NLD Mandalay
Division was 8 years imprisonment.
(4) Min Thu,(M) Who is a In-charge of the Mogok township NLD,
Mandalay Division was 13 years imprisonment.
(5) Tin Ko Ko, (M) Who is an organizing committee member of
Meiktila Township NLD of Mandalay division was given two years
imprisonment.
(6) Win Shwe (M) who is a member of Salin Township NLD of Magwe
Devision was given to 11 years imprisonment.
